Thank you for joining me in my efforts to support The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation in honor of Cory!

In August, 2007, my 14-year-old cousin, Cory Greenbaum, was in a debilitating car accident. While he was fortunate to survive, Cory sustained a spinal cord injury which left him with limited mobility. Since the accident Cory has made great strides towards recovery, as a result of the excellent care he has received in institutions throughout the North East, the support of his family, and his own unbelievable hard work and dedication. His energy and spirit have remained unchanged through the process, and this has made him a personal inspiration to me.

This summer, in Cory’s honor, I will be participating in my first Triathlon. On September 21 I will be racing in an Olympic distance Triathlon (1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run) to raise money for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, as part of ‘Team Reeve’. This organization is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy. Many of the therapies Cory has received in the past year have come from the research conducted and/or funded by the Reeve foundation; and it is my hope that some day the money raised by Teem Reeve will lead to medical breakthroughs that eliminate the suffering of spinal cord injury patients throughout the world, including Cory.

I ask you to consider sponsoring me in my race by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Reeve Foundation.
